Evan Thomas was born on Easter Sunday

I started contracting Saturday night/early sunday morning but didn't think anything of it because they were about an hour apart. I figured they would go away by the time I got up and got ready. We were going to Ryan's parents for Easter dinner and then I was supposed to be doing maternity pictures with his dad later that evening.

Around 11a they started coming closer but they were more of a cramp so I decided to get up and get into my tub to see if that would help. Again, I didn't think they were real contractions because my back wasn't hurting like it normally did. I was in the tub for about an hour and half and then they were getting quite stronger. I decided to get out of the tub. I had to go to the bathroom so I went and looked down and there was blood. I called my OB and he told me to go in. Called Ryan and he left work immediately and met me at my house. We went to L & D, the did a cervix check and I was already dilated to a four. At 4p we were told that they were going to take him by Csection at 6p. Got wheeled back there, Ryan came in and Evan was born at 6:24p.

On a great note, Ryan has been AMAZING with Evan and me as well. He has been up here every night since I gave birth, he even stayed the first night and is staying tonight! He has definitely turned around and I'm so happy. He sent me a text this morning while he was at work and said that he will always be there for Evan, that he loves him so much! It made me cry. I'm glad that he has turned around for Evan.

I was just going through baby names one day and asked Ryan what he thought of Evan and he loved it. Mainly because it ends in the same way his does and goes better with everything (according to him lol). So we decided to go with Evan

Plus Gage told me he didn't like Chase because that was the doctor on House who talked funny (accent) and Gage didn't want Evan to talk funny. LOL!

We got home yesterday afternoon and Ryan stayed all night last night with me He was up with me every time Evan woke up, which was only twice! He goes around 4 hours between feedings
