For those still pregnant mamas: Do you have any last minute preparations that you need to accomplish before the baby is born??
Mama's with newborns: Did you finish your list of preparations before the baby was born??

I still need to pack the hospital bag, get a haircut (desperately at that) and I don't have my stroller or bouncy seat. I think besides that I completed everything.

My husband still needs to install the car seat. Her nursery is not 100% ready because I ordered wall letters from Etsy and they are suppose to be here on Saturday. I hope to get them hung right away so she will come home to a completed nursery. Not like she'll care but it matters to me! Oh, and I also have to buy a breast pump but I don't need that right away so it's not that big of a deal.

I clean about every day now so there shouldnt be a whole lot cleaning wise. I would like to scrub the shower one last time before she gets here though and re-wash her bedding before we put her in it.
We still need to paint the living room and our sons room but I just feel like that probably isn't going to happen at this point. I am totally up for doing it (I love painting!) but I DO need help just because I shouldn't be moving furniture. It's just hard when my husband only has a couple days off a week and if its nice outside we have to take advantage of the weather and do yard work usually.

My list of preparations was totally overkill. For example, the hospital bags.
The labor class that I took suggested bringing one bag for labor itself, and a different bag for the hospital. So I prepared both bags and packed them with everything recommended. In the end, we didn't use anything out of the labor bag at all. I got into the hospital bag once during the almost three days we were there. 98% of everything I packed was never touched!
Oh well this was my first time, so maybe next time I'll have a better idea of what to expect and what to bring.

I need to get the tags on my hubby's truck (which is legally my truck, so I have to do it) and get my new driver's license, which my old one expires next month. I really want to have the windshield replaced on the Tahoe too cause it needs to get done. I need to spot clean in the hallway with the small steam vac, catch up on laundry (again) and wash my sheets one more time. We need to clean off the kitchen table, it's seriously the worst catch all in our house. And DH needs to go and make sure the truck payment is in the bank for that. And apparently we have a library book to find, one I've never seen, and I check my son's backpack nightly, so I don't think it made it home.

our list was ALMOST done. All we have to do is anchor cosleeper to bed, get D batteries and put up the baby gate which can be done later rather than sooner.

Mostly everything is complete. Trying to keep up with the laundry, and keeping the house clean.. Only thing left to do is to get her bedding and put it in her crib.. But waiting on that as it isn't complete, and I am okay with that

I really just need to pack the hospital bag. We dont have bedding for his crib yet but he's going to sleep in the bassinet first so it's not TOO important. Getting a breast pump today and got the car seat installed 2 days ago. So I THINK we're good to go (other than the hospital bag) if he decides to show up tomorrow. ha!

No really. I am just trying to keep the house clean. I need to go pick up a few odds and ends at the grocery store this weekend but other than that I think we are ready.
Oh.. I have to go the hospital on Monday for pre-registration and blood work for my induction on Tuesday. I guess that counts

I don't have anything to do for the baby, as far as I know. I do have to file my taxes, so I'll be doing that this weekend.

We JUST got the carseat yesterday, so we need to get that installed. Also need to check and see if the 2nd car seat base fits the car seat we got....
Also need to get DH a diff car when he gets his bonus check from work. But we havent gotten the check yet..so thats out of our hands.
Maintaining a clean house so that it can be clean when we get home from the hospital is HUGE to me.
We need to get some more bottles, but dont know what kind he will like yet. Also need to get a cheap breast pump. Dont want to buy the expensive one yet just in case nursing doesnt work out again.
My plan was to get DS all ready for kindergarten. He needs caught up on his vaccinations still but Im totally putting that off. I cant handle it right now.
Oh yeah, and pay taxes

Well, I got the tags for my truck but after two trips to DMV and they still can't tell me everything I need for getting a driver's license, we have decided to just do that monday morning. Geez! I need to prep cloth diapers this weekend with Bob gone too. UGH to going down stairs!

I am just going to re-wash all of his blankets and clothes in Dreft (they've already been washed in our regular detergent already).
I still need a baby bath and a bouncer but neither are too important as of now. I can always order them from Amazon and have them here in two days if I can't find them somewhere else (like Craigslist) for a better price before he comes.
