"Long story short....we left hospital on wenedsday afternoon Wednesday night she started complaining of shortness of breath. Thursday morning she said she couldn't breathe and so I took her to er and about 8 hours, one ct scan, and a couple ...of xrays later she was sent to icu with excessive fluid in her lungs. Friday morning more xrays more fluid. Friday afternoon she was given a breathing tube and put on a ventilator and transfered to madigan. Friday night I am by her side and praying that she will get better soon."
Someone else posted on her page that she has Severe Pulmonary Edema.
I don't know a lot about it but it sounds pretty serious.

Paige is with Katie's mom from my understanding of Katie's Facebook posts and she is fine. I just logged onto FB to check and there has been no update. I wonder if this is directly related to all that swelling she had in the last month or so, didn't she say she gained 20 pounds in less then a week?

wow that's scary. prayers for her and her family. Glad the kids are being taken care of by too! I'm always worried about what would happen to my kids if something were to happen to me. and thank goodness her hubby took her in when he did!

Yeah I am so glad her husband took her to the ER when he did. I am not sure if the edema she had going on contributed to it....I am sure it very well could have.

I was just thinking about her and little miss Paige last night and wondering how they're doing. She is definitely in my thoughts and prayers! That's so scary.
Oh my god, so scary. Sending all my prayers to her family right now. I can't even imagine what they are going through. Like shani said, she had complained of massive weight gain and excessive swelling a month ago, surprised it wasn't caught. Thank goodness for an attentive husband. I hope she gets better soon!
Was just told her chest xray today looks much better than yesterday but she will still be on a ventilator till at least tomorrow, so there probably won't be anymore updates untill tomorrow morning. I will keep you all updated - Eric
