First full day at daycare. It's been half days for a while, and until the last couple of weeks, not even every day. Sigh... Even though baby girl's 'full day' is only 8 to 9 hours, it's a lot longer than the 5 she's been doing.
I'm pumping. Until now, I've had to pump once a day. Now I have to pump at least twice and maybe three times a day. I will take four bottles to daycare (apx. 4 oz each). She's expected to take three of those, leaving me with one extra, which rotates to the next day.
So far, I've been very, very lucky and have been superboobing. I've gotten 8+ oz (two bottles) at my one pumping session and have been able to keep up. I'm sort of nervous about the second pumping - I have to get
at least 12 oz per day in order to maintain enough for daycare. I don't have a huge freezer stash and have had to dip into it because I'm lazy and it's easier to nurse on the weekends than to pump.
Please wish me luck. If I can keep 12 oz per day going, I'll be all right. But we all know that pumping isn't as efficient at draining as nursing is! I'd hate to have to pump at home, too - things are busy enough already and my supply tanks more than 'normal' in the evenings.
