What are you most afraid of with pregnancy?

Maybe some BTDT mommies can alleviate some of those fears for the newbies

Besides the obvious that most are scared of (miscarriage), I'm actually terrified of getting morning sickness. I absolutely hate throwing up (with a huge passion) and I think having an upset stomach/being queasy has to be one of THE worst feelings EVER in the world. I'm terrified that I'll get super sick. I'm not at all queasy yet, but I know it's early. I just hate that feeling- like, when I have a stomach bug or I've had food poisoning. And, to know it can last a long time.. ay.

Besides that- just something going wrong- either with myself, or baby.

Ayla - I'm terrified of throwing up as well. I had nausea with both my girls in the evenings, but never to the point of throwing up. The nauseated feeling is not fun, but it doesn't always mean you'll actually throw up, so keep that in mind.

I'm scared of losing the baby, especially since I haven't actually missed my period yet. I'm trying to think positive, but I just worry. We conceived our girls on the first try for each and this baby first try as well...I just worry that I can't get that lucky 3x, you know?

I'm worried about the baby being healthy since I am high risk because of my age. I'm going to have testing done, but I'm not sure when that will all take place. I'm also worried the tests will say something is maybe wrong and I get scared and then the baby is really okay. I hear of that happening too.

I'm also scared of the unknown. Like I have no control over my body right now. I'm scared something can go wrong with me or the baby.

with my last, whenever i vomited, the nausea would subside a bit. that always comforted me.

ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage are big on my list of fears atm. as well as development. i'm taking 5 (400mgs a piece) folic acids, to help in that department, per doctors request.
