I went this morning for my NT Scan and thankfully baby still had a heartbeat. I think I have been most worried about that after our loss with our last pregnancy. Baby's heartrate was 155 bpm. I wasn't able to eat breakfast this morning because I have still been so sick and I guess that affected baby because he/she was sleeping and the u/s tech had trouble getting her to move. So she got me some juice and about 10 minutes after I drank that baby was awake and letting us get the picutres we needed. The scan went good. Baby had a nasal bone which was good and the fluid at the back of baby's neck was within the good range. They took blood and they will combine the blood result with scan results and my age and give us a percentage of having a baby with genetic problems. The nurse said we should have our results by Friday or next Monday. Honestly I am not that concerned with what the percentage is, I have just been so nervous about losing this baby that I am over the moon excited to realize that we are going to make it into the second trimester.
here is a Picture. LindseyB, I don't think you will be able to guess at the nub. Didn't really get a good picture. I'll post all the pictures though on your nub post. The u/s tech did keep calling her a girl and I asked her if she knew something we didn't and she just laughed.
