Oh no! I'm so sorry. My NP was just talking to me yesterday about two patients she has that won't stop bleeding despite having an otherwise healthy pregnancy.

What's the protocol at this point? Do you have to see the doctor after every bleed?

Well, basically he said there isn't much he can do at this point. So, I'm to be on strict bedrest until is subsides, and to check on the baby with the doppler. If the pain gets bad, then I can go to the er. But at that point, the fear would be an abruption. They'd give me pain meds, but they can't make it stop. the kicker here? I barely left the bed yesterday, so idk why it happened again. If I feel like I'm loosing too much blood then of course I go in. Its just, after several trips we found all they ever do is a sono to check baby, and then send me home on bedrest. Now they might keep me a few days since I'm past 20 weeks, but if its gonna abrupt they can't stop it short of restricted activity. Most of the time, I don't even bother to call. I just update him at my appointments.

Thank you girls! It is very scary. Everytime it happens I start think, this time maybe it will be it. And there's no chance of survival yet. Even at 24 weeks, with him being a boy...they odds are worse. I worry that maybe hell have delays or something from this. I've been too scared to ask tho. We've been blessed with 3 very healthy babies, I hope I didn't push my luck.

Oh sweetie, don't feel like you might have pushed your luck. This is a fluke thing that could happen to anyone. I'm sorry you are going through the constant worry. I know you have other little ones to take care of and worrying about the baby in your belly can't be easy to go through.

I'm hoping that it stops for you soon. Hugs.

So scary! I can't imagine what you are going through. Don't you dare think you "pushed your luck". No one earns or deserves what you are going through. Hope everything calms down for you very, very soon.

I totally understand your mommy guilt, having passed on genetic defects to my boys, I dealt with a LOT of it. That being said...it doesn't help you or your little man, so do what you can to acknowledge the emotion and let it pass without affecting your mindset too much. Think positive! 90% of the time, babies take everything they need from mom, and tend to leave mom lacking; not the other way around. Rest and relax as much as you can mama, and keep thinking positive thoughts that you and little man are going to make it to 24 weeks and beyond!!! <3

So scary I am so sorry you have to keep going thru this. Don't beat yourself up, it is NOTHING you have done at all. My mom bled, like serious bleeding all thru her pregnancy with me. That is why she didn't know she was until she was almost 6 months. This was back in the 80s, and I'm ok
Did you ever find anyone to help you out around the house?

Don't ever think that way. Are u sure you don't want to go to the ER even if they keep you there on rest. Go with your gut...don't hesitate. It may stop it may not. How much are you bleeding anyway? Maybe they can check your cervix.

Oh wow... that's terrifying. I'm so sorry, I can't imagine how scared you must be.

I do understand guilt though. Feeling that way is normal, but know that objectively these things just happen randomly.... not because of anything you did or didn't do. (and I also understand the "did I push my luck" thing..... having one perfectly healthy live child now I really worry that something will be wrong with this one I'm pregnant with just because I'm greedy or something....)
