Melissalaw's post got me thinking.... I have read that the time of day a child is born determines whether they are a night owl, morning person, etc. I don't know if it has any true relavance. I thought it might be neat to post our experiences with our children and compare!

Lily was born at 7:51am and Violet was born at 2:19pm. Both are more night owls like me.

This is a first child for me but I do know that I was born at 4:40 PM and I like the evening/night. I have a horrible time getting up early in the morning. O_o

Allison was born at 4:51 pm and she's a morning person, so I don't see the correlation.

Jake was born at 10:13 a.m. Every day during break he has woken up before 7. When we let him stay up later in the summer he still gets up by 8 or so. Yet, if I have to wake him up on school days, he is an absolute bear.

Brooke was born around 3:30 pm and she's a night owl.....but then again she's a teenager so that's a whole different ball game.

Lilly was born @ 2 am and she's an early riser like daddy. Typically 6:30 ish she's up.

I was googling and found this too... it talks about being born in different seasons and length of the days, etc

I will have to go back and read the post, but for now... DD was born at 7:30 pm and is very much a night owl, and most def NOT a sweet thing in the mornings. Come wake up time, she is more like, oh, I dunno, perhaps, .... satan?!!
I was born at 2:28 pm, and am a night owl for sure. But, I am great in the mornings as well.

I think it's more about temperament than anything. Aidan was born at 10:35pm and he does fine no matter what time of day it is. He's actually an easy going kid, so he does well both at night (no matter how late he stays up) and when he wakes up. He gets it from DH because I'm definitely NOT a morning person, I'm more of a night owl.

Eh, DD was born at 2:30 p.m. and she not much of either. She has a pretty even temperment through out the day regardless of whether it's first thing in the morning or time for bed as long as her routine isn't out of whack. I was born at 7:20 am and I am definitely not a morning person at all haha.

Ella was bron at 1:10am, and she's a night owl, always stays up reading books, lol. Wyatt was born at 9:05am and is up earlier and passes out the second he gets still. Caroline was an afternoon baby, by c section. Its hard to tell yet with her. She's still a baby. She's usually asleep by 7:30, 6:30 with no afternoon nap, and her waking time depends on how quiet the house is, if she pooped, and when she went to bed. All in all tho, I just don't know. Their temperments are so engrained in who they are. I was an afternoon baby, and I'm a huuuuge night owl! Dh was also early afternoon and is a morning person. I could sleep all day, and be up all night if the world worked that way. I love the night, nothing like it. And I don't mean going out to bars or whatever. Its just soothing and cozy to me. so I like to stay up to enjoy it.

Grady used to be a night owl (he is pretty much in bed by 8 every night now and stays asleep til at least 8 the next morning).

he wakes in a good mood.

ds1 was born at 7:30pm, and the first year or so of his life he slept until 9, 10am after going to bed around 9pm. DS2 was born at 7pm, and was the polar opposite..up at 6:30/7am from early on, and went to bed earlier. Now, they both get up around 7:30/8 on their own, and go to bed around 8:30 at night. Neither really have a best time of day as long as they aren't tired/sick or something.
