I'm almost 22 weeks, but I was gone for so long we couldn't do the 20 week check up until today.
Everything looks great, Abby's HR was in the upper 140's and my fundal height is right on track. My BP was initially high, but I barely sat down in the waiting room before they called me back. It was normal when they checked it again at the end of my visit. They also gave me my glucose drink for when I go back in 4 weeks. I had a choice of three flavors, but I doubt it'll make a difference. I had no problem drinking it with Aidan, I downed the orange drink like it was water. But Abby had me so turned off to sweets, I'm wondering if I can drink the whole thing without gagging lol. My goal is to make it as cold as possible before I drink it, and hopefully it'll make it go down easier.
I also gained some weight (wooo hoooo!). The night I got back from Louisiana, I weighed myself and I had gained 9 lbs in the two weeks that I was gone. Not surprised because I ate A LOT!!!! But, because I had lost three pounds earlier, and then another one since I've been home, I'm only officially up five pounds since the start of my pregnancy. It's not bad because I'm only supposed to gain 15 (I was overweight to start with), but I'm still worried about the gestational diabetes. With the PCOS and having had it with Aidan, I know my chances are pretty high for getting it. I will be over the moon happy if that test comes back within normal range!!!!!!
Anyway, that's my update. Can't believe we all have about 4 months until our LO's are finally here. I still have SOOOOOO much to do but I'm so excited
Congrats on a good appointment, glad everything looks good.
That orange glucose drink and I don't get along with each other at all. I've had it once so far and the whole two hours I had to wait to get my blood drawn was spent trying to keep it down....I'm not looking forward to the second time I have to drink it. Luckily that will be in Feb...I wish there was some way for those to taste better.
Glad it went well! I don't mind the orange drink so much as long as it's chilled. What I can't STAND is the blood draw! And this time my dr has moved to the new-fangled 2 hour test instead of the one hour, which means THREE blood draws.
