Did you know that a clot can feel meaty? Like a peice of tissue?
I was just taking a bubblebath, when I realized the water was the wrong color. So I stood up, and something the size of a silverdollar fell out. It was meaty and coated in dark red blood. I had a lot of bright red bleeding too, running down my legs and staining my white bathmatts . So, of course I called the ob. He said it sounded like a clot. Had no idea they could feel like that. I thought a small piece of placeta had come off. Gross, I know. So anyway, I'm to lay here in bed, only getting up to go potty. Bleeding like a stuck pig. And if I start cramping, the bleeding increases (id be shocked), or I start passing more clots, then I'm to go to the hospital. Sigh, at least next week, ill have the peice of mind of at least being a viability. This is always so terrifying.

So scary! I had meaty like clots after giving birth for the first day or so, but never during pregnancy. Hope it stops and you don't pass anymore!

OMG so scary.
You are such a trouper im not sure how I could handle all that. Just hang in there the weeks are slowly moving and this baby will be big enough to come out soon.
Have they said anything about admitting you soon since you are very close to viabilty?

My friend had previa really bad and they admitted her shortly after 24 weeks because her bleeding was getting really bad like what you are experiancing. She ended up making it to 35 weeks and they had to take baby emergency C section because she had a really bad bleeding event and they felt it was time. Baby is now 4 and perfectly healthy active little girl.

Yes I did know clots can feel like that from my losses I had one clot that was so large and hard that I thought it was the acual baby but the baby came a couple hours later so I think it was just a clot or maybe the placenta. Baby was about the size of my thumb.

Also have the birth of my daughter I had some pretty sizeable clots that the nurses had to come and inspect UCK.

They said if I had cramping or lots of cramps to come in and they would monitor me. Dr, castillo seems to be very leary of keeping me in the hospital long term. But you better believe ill be montoring him via kicks and doppler, and if anything increases, ill go ahead and head in. I'm so glad your friends daughter made it! I'm really scared for this baby because he's a boy, and statistically they don't do as well. I think I'm going to ask Tuesday for a blood test to check my iron levels. I've been loosing so much blood, I hpe I'm not anemic from it all.

Yes, when I had my loss I passed very large meaty clots. Like others said the largest I thought was my baby was not... it is called something, I forget, but at the time I googled it. One baby came later and I never found the other. During my period each month I have some rather large clots as well.

(((HUGS))) hope things get better!!

Yeah they call them Whimpy White boys.

I have so many friends and family members who have had micro premies.
My cousins wife got a really bad infection and they had to put her in a coma. She was only 21 weeks 5 days, they decided they needed to take the baby or she was going to die. She was lucky they live in New jersey and the hospital she was at does not have a viablilty cut off like most do. He was born alive and they put him on life support. He is now 8 years old but he is blind... other than that he is doing wonderful when everyone said he was not going to make it.

My friend had twins (after lossing a 20 weeker for incomptant cervix) they took the twins 35 weeks boy & girl and they both just needed some oxygen not intibated and are also 4.

My other cousins girl friend had her little girl at 28 weeks never needed oxygen and was able to go home 4 weeks later.

Rest Rest Rest, but if for any reason you're uncomfortable or start to develop any anxiety, just go to the ER.

I hate that you continue to have problems. I am glad that you'll be 24 weeks next week, but I'm hoping that you make it far past 24 weeks and have a healthy baby boy. Just rest and take it easy.

My goodness! That is SO very scary. I think I would've flipped out. I feel so badly for you!!

Boys aren't always "whimpy" My oldest was born at 34 weeks and was 6lbs and strong as a horse!
