I get awful migraine-level sinus headaches. I do the best that I can to stick to taking just regular tylenol, or excedrin tension headache(which is only acetominophen and caffiene). And I try to follow all the general headache rules of reduce stress in general, quiet time, cool compress, steamy shower to open sinues etc.

Once a few weeks ago; now that we are past the first trimester, I did break down and take one of my prescription fioricet one night. I felt bad/guilty for taking it; but the pharmacist said it was ok. It helped me soo much though; I didn't have to take any meds for several weeks until I came down with a stupid head cold after that. Benadryl helped/helps me sleep at night; but didn't actually make the headaches go away. I hope you get some relief!!

I've been okay this week but a couple of weeks ago I had terrible headaches that would last for like three days at a time. I tried Tylenol a couple of times but it does nothing for me. The only thing I could do was drink lots of water, rest in a dark room whenever I could, and wait it out. It sucks! I hope you can find some relief soon.

I think that is exactly what i'm having, migraine-level sinus headaches. That describes my headaches perfectly.

i'm going to the dr today because I missed quite a few days last week of work too so i'm hoping for a dr note. NOT a good time to lose my job.

I know exactly what you mean there too, I have been using sick time as fast as I get it lately.

Yep, I went to the dr today and he said it's definitely a migraine. Not going away. so horrible. He said there's nothing to give me for it and the only thing he suggests is massage therapy. He also wrote me a dr note and suggested I take a few more days off work.

ack. my work is gonna freak. but I seriously cannot function with this pain!

Ugh! Hope you feel better soon! I had horrible migraines twice in December. Both times I slept fitfully most of the night with a low grade headache and by morning was vomiting uncontrollably and had sensitivity to bright lights. Besides cold cloths on my head, showers, drinking water and taking Tylenol (which wears off really quickly), I tried caffeine and gatorade. Sometimes getting my electrolytes balanced again helps, but not always. Hang in there!!

Ugh - I'm so sorry - I'm totally in the same boat. I spent the majority of my day yesterday at urgent care and then at a specialists. The specialist recommended trying magnesium 400-600 mg per day to start. I started this yesterday so I don't know if it's going to work for me yet but I figure it's worth a shot - especially since she said it's safe to take during pregnancy.

I've been waking up in the middle of the night with pain so bad I can't hardly move... then I vomit - it's happened twice now like this. Most days it's just hard to think and I feel a lot of pressure in my head. Before pregnancy massage helped me a ton - I go every 3-4 weeks but with the increase in hormones the severity of the headaches makes it too hard to manage on my own.

Good luck, I hope you feel better.

My mom suggested that my headaches may be migraines. Just the other night I had one so bad that I wanted to tell SO to take me to the er but I couldn't make my body get up or speak so I just layed in my living room floor all night. I was going to tell my NP today bit I know what she would say.....tylenol! It doesn't help.

Ugh!! I too have been struggling with constant headaches this whole pregnancy... It's driving me insane!!! Tylenol doesn't work for me so I just drink a caffeinated Coke and then just try to deal with it best I can till I get out of work and curl up on my couch with DS!!!

I have a headache pretty much every day. I take extra strength tylenol for them. When they get bad and I can tell they're going to turn into a migraine, I take fioricet to try and head off the migraine.

Other than that there's really nothing you can do. Sometimes I'll get a stubborn headache that just won't quit, and I'll have to drink a cup of coffee with my tylenol to try and knock it out. Usually that works. Also, an ice pack to the head and a sleep mask work wonders

ive been getting frequent ( 2-3 a week) headaches for about 2 months now. I just take a dose of tylenol and usually it helps take the edge off.

If its gets so bad, or last for days, i usually use a heating pad on my head and neck to get some tension relief.

I was getting them terriably... I have a desk job so it was terriable to work. I could feel them coming and then they would move around. At the begining of the 2nd tri I had a HUGE scare. I was laying in bed and my arm and my lips went numb... I called my mom bawling. Looked it up online and here it was a onset of a migrane.

Right after that I made a appointment at the eye doctors, it had been YEARS since I went. My one eye stayed the same .75 but the other eye went to 1.25... so I needed new glasses. They came in and i had one more severe migrane after that while I was getting used to them...

I blame it mainly on the glasses... they say pregnancy can totally mess up your sight. I still get slight headaches, but taking a excedrin headache toatlly helps.

Now anyone have a cure for being tired all the time??? lol
