So, I was watching A Baby Story on my lunch break. The couple had a little boy, the mother was changing baby boy and the dad walks in a says what is that on him and mom says a Pee Pee Teepee, so he doesn't pee all over!
Omg! I had no idea something like that exists, but makes sense! I'm guessing I have a lot to learn about having a boy!
I really liked the thread about Circumcising and the What they don't tell you in the books. Thinking I need a What You Should Know About Having a Boy and What You Should Buy for a Boy! And maybe we should have one for Having a Girl.
So, has anyone used a Pee Pee Teepee on their son and what else do us Moms expecting boys need to know!
We had them, but they didn't stay on his little guy at all. They seemed like they were made for smaller penises (and they shrank some when I washed them), and so it barely balanced on his thing, and then when the pee shot out it would just go shooting off, lol. So a total waste for us! I got them at Motherhood Maternity.
lol we didn't have one of them. however can't say I was never tempted to buy one. we used wash cloths instead. you have to work fast once that diaper opens and the cold air hits the pee rainbow begins lol we went through sooo many wash cloths the first few weeks.
DS1 managed to pee and/or poop every single time we changed him. I had the cheap cloth diaper rags and/or cheap washcloths, and just dropped one over him every time I changed him. DS2 wasn't nearly as bad about it (and I imagine we were much faster); but still, we would just have some old burp cloths/wash cloths and drop one over the top while we cleaned him up. Only got peed on a few times with him. Poop in the bathtub is the worst/most annoying. I need to go add that to the what they don't tell you thread. And that they will continue to poop in the bathtub until they are potty trained. Ugh.
if you change their diaper from the side then the pee wont get on you it will just shoot all over the changing table. I use the trick of opening the diaper blowing a little cold air them laying it back on top while they get their pee on before I proceed with the change.
I have seen the pee pee teepee's at BRU before. My mom and I always made fun of them and I thought for sure I'd only have girls and never need to worry about that. But..I guess now I'm team blue, I'm going to have to plan my diaper change strategy!
Thank you very much Meganpixel for my fabulous siggie!
lol! DH and I are sitting here laughing as were are reading these. (DH doesn't think he will have to worry about diaper changing! Ha!) Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to share our stories after our little fellas here.
