Yeesh! I was just walking in from dropping my oldest at kindergarden and I was still wearing my clunky f flops, the ones that are 4 inches high, lol. And I steped on my sons round toy in the floor while holding the baby. I managed to twist my ankly and fall on my wrist wrong, but I kept carolines head from slamming into the firplace by 2 inches or landing on my belly. Its amazing how mommy instinct takes over. My ankle isn't swelling, and my wrist just has a little bruise, so I'm not hurt. It just scared caroline. Hopefully the twisting didn't cause anymore bleeding. We got lucky!
oh mama! you should be in bed, doll. i wish you had more help around the house. but, yea i hear ya...mama instincts are a funny thing. i once went hiking, and wore the baby backback to give hubby a break.. slipped downhill with my child in tow. my first instinct was to save my baby from getting hurt, so i put one leg out, and ending up doing the splits going down. both my child and myself were unharmed. i was so relieved. but sore the next day.
I have been just chock full of grace as well. I fell going into my last doc appointment too. I was able to just land on my hands and knees though, and just a little bruising. I wasn't even in heels..I have no excuse.
