What important things do you have going on before baby is born? Will being really preggo change any of these plans/events?
I am getting a little overwhelmed with all of the stuff coming up, especially because I am on modified bed rest and am not supposed to be doing much. I am usually such a coordinator and love throwing parties and stuff so I have had to learn to let go a little bit and let other people take the lead. It has been a good life lesson!
Here are a list of things I have coming up:
1. DH's birthday is on Superbowl Sunday this year and I am throwing him a surprise superbowl party. The invites are out, the decorations are here (I ordered them online), and other people are stepping up and bringing food and drinks so everything is all good!
2. My friends and moms (MIL, step-mom, and mom lol) are throwing me a baby shower the first weekend in March. I just have to be there, so no stress there!
3. DS's 3rd birthday party is scheduled for late March. We put the deposit down for the place and have had the invites made. We still have to figure out decorations and goody bags. But at least we are doing it at an indoor play center and they have people who decorate, host and clean up.
4. DH and I also have a gift certificate for the Hotel Del Mar, which is one of the nicest resorts in the country, that we need to use by the end of March...I can't believe it is about to expire!!! We just need to find a weekend to squeeze it in and to have my parents watch DS for a night.
5. My birthday is at the end of April. I think I will just kind of ignore it this year lol. I will either have a newborn or feel too huge and uncomfortable to do anything...or I could be in the hospital or something. My birthday is only two weeks prior to Cole's due date and it is not uncommon at all for babies to be born then. DS was 3.5 weeks early.
So there it is!! I guess it makes me feel better and in more control writing it down! What do you ladies have coming up? Birthdays, trips, big work events or deadlines, etc.

Wow, you do have a lot coming up!
I'm flying to visit my sister in NY in a couple of weeks, and I'm kind of nervous. I'm going myself and DH is staying home with E. It won't be the first time I'm away for a weekend, but I've never gone farther than an hour from home before. And I hate flying alone.
Other than that, DH is in a wedding for a good friend of ours in May, but I have to miss it because I'll be 37 weeks and don't feel comfortable flying across the country (it's in AZ, we live in IL) that close to my due date.

Thank you very much Meganpixel for my fabulous siggie!
I just had carolines first birthday 2 weeks ago. And wyatts was in decembr. The pregnancy did change the way I did it. I didn't go all out. I bought the cake and kept decor to a minimum. I'm on bedrest, so there isn't a lot I can do really. Dhs bday is april 27th, I'm due may 5th, and will be a c section. So it will be within days of the birth if I go to term. I'm hoping to have baby between may 1-5th, but who knows? We usually have a big crawfish boil, but that probably won't be happening this year. Our 6th anniversary is march 3rd, and we probably won't do much there either.
I have nothing. The most exciting thing will be helping plan my own baby shower (because my aunt is a people pleaser and would die if I didn't get what I wanted). She takes it more seriously than I do.
I have a baby shower for me and one for a friend before may. other than that it is birthday season here. we already went to two parties this month one for my sister and one for my niece. mine is tomorrow, but DH and I are just having a night in, he will take off work . then its my dads birthday. then my nephews one year/Superbowl party. another niece and my SIL in feb. then another niece in march. I thiink April is clear. May has a couple more birthdays including this little ones. soo pretty much I need to get birthday shopping lol
We really don't have that much going on before Cody is due.
1) Dh and I our second anniversary is April 24th.
2) Dh's mom's birthday is the beginning of May. Not sure if we will do anything.
3) Dh's sisters are throwing me a baby shower beginning of April
4) A friend of mine told me today she throwing me a baby shower also
5) I still alot of cleaning and clearing out old stuff in the house before Cody comes.
I think my sis is going to throw me a shower, either on 3/31 or 4/7. But that's basically it for us. Everything else big is LITERALLY within days of my due date!
We have a Youth mission trip the second week of april but I am staying at home just traveling to the worksite and worship services durring the day because you have to sleep on the floor if you stay there lol.
The 20th of April we are supposed to take the youth to an event in syracuse which is a couple hours drive for the weekend. I will be evaluating with my doctor if I feel like that is something I can manage. If Im having no signs of labor and am comfortable I will go because it's one of our biggest events and it's only 2 days. If anything is happening with Liam though neither of us will be going and a sub will have to take the kids.
DH is still in Seminary and the week Liam is due is his finals week. Luckily it's a small tight knit community there so everyone will be very understanding if he has to miss something but Im sure he will be stressing out.

A wedding on March 31st. The only thing is its in Michigan and I am in Minnesota. I will try my hardest to make it there. My friend says she understands if I cant make it.
1) Our 5 year wedding anniversary is Feb. 16th - think we're just going to dinner though
2) We're going to Reno with Lily and Vi for a few days (I think feb. 12 - 14). DH's friend manages a bunch of hotels and is getting us a suite for free.
3) Vi turns 2 on March 24 and we're having a birthday party for her
I don't really have much going on before baby except that we will be hosting an international student from Japan in March.
Right after baby, my first set of students (who I am still very close to ... many attended our wedding) will be graduating from high school so I have a lot of planning and ceremonies to do for that. Around that same time, my current students are graduating from elementary school so I have even more planning for that along with a video and gifts to make.
We just had my 7 year olds party last weekend at a jump place. So all I had to do was show up. I might have a shower or sprinkle but I'm not sure yet. My oldest will be 11 March 28th. I think he just may want to have a few friends sleep over and have cake and pizza. Other than these things that's about it.

Jumping over from the Apr. DDC. Hi Kellye! I feel your pain. I have a lot coming up as well.
1. Garage sale next weekend to get rid of all our extra crap.
2. Maternity photos/Taylee's 3-year photos 2nd week of Feb.
3. Taylee's bday party Feb. 25.
4. My baby shower Mar. 3.
5. Our anniversary and possibly a babymoon Mar. 11.
Somewhere in there I've gotta finish up both girls' rooms. Oh, and this weekend we have friends staying with us from out of town AND I'm hosting a bday party for Tay's godmother tomorrow night.
Devin's birthday is March 6 and we normally just have some close family members over for dinner, which we still plan to do.
And then we just have Kate's birthday, which is my due date. I'll be planning the party for a couple weeks before then and I'm not really sure how I'm going to do it, but we'll figure it out. Last year we had a back yard BBQ and it was great but I did go a little overboard on silly decorations and making and decorating the cake myself. This year I doubt I'll have energy for anything much!
