At my appointment today (28weeks) when the midwife measured my belly it was 31cm if you go by the cm=weeks theory then I am 3 weeks ahead.

Have you been getting measured? Where are you at?

One week ahead. But they told me the baby is just a few days ahead (size wise because I know exactly when I got pregnant) on ultrasound.

Plus, position of the placenta can make you measure a little bigger. There's a fun fact for you. lol

My last appt was at 24 weeks (...maybe closer to 25, I can't remember now). I was measuring a week ahead though. My NP actually doesn't tell you unless you ask because she's had too many patients get anxious about measuring ahead or measuring behind.

My belly is bigger this time than last time. I was always right on track with size with DS.

Same with my doctor. They don't want you getting the wrong idea and thinking your baby is ready sooner because you measure bigger.

Baby is only 3 days ahead. They never tell me how big I am measuring.

I don't know currently, but I was measuring right on track. Maybe not exact, they haven't told me exact numbers this time, but they let me know that I'm right where they expect me to be.

Baby's position can also make a difference in how you measure! It's a nice way to keep track and for them to get an idea if something might be really wrong (if you consistently measure too small or something) but it's certainly not an exact science!

It's not like I'm scarfing down chips or ice cream, I'm eating the same (actually, better) than ever and I'm physically active, so my body is just going to do what it's going to do. She can go suck a lemon. Lol. So far only gained 9 pounds.
That is really bad, old-fashioned advice too! Gaining weight is not only inevitable for most people, it's also quite necessary. Like you said, your body's going to do what it's going to do, and it's not like you can go on a restrictive diet! Sheesh.

I forgot to ask. But I'll always be ahead. It's the accumulation on my belly. Shhhh...we don't call it fat.

Baby has been measuring right on track (within a day of her due date) which I'm happy about... I'm hoping she is more in the 7lb range. My son always measures about 2 weeks ahead and he came out 8.6lbs at 38w5d. I felt a little cheated bc I never had the little baby...

Cole has always measured a week ahead, and I know our dates because I was charting. They almost changed my due date last appointment because he has consistently been 1 week ahead, but I told them that I knew my dates and not to change it lol. Chase always measured a week ahead too...who knows?!
They never tell me if my belly is on target...hmm

With DD I always measured 2 weeks smaller. This time I am right on. This past Wednesday at 28 weeks I measured 28cm.

My MIL is very petite with small hips, and she had a few babies (including my DH) that were over 10lbs. Lots of small women can have big babies just fine

Oh, and I forgot to say, but at different points with both Lily and Violet, I measured ahead, but then by the end I was measuring right on.

My OB and I are always chatting during. So he never says and I never ask. I'm curious though and will ask next time.

I ALWAYS measure ahead with my babies... So much so that they tend to do scans every 4 weeks from about 2nd trimester onwards, apparently to keep an eye on the fluid around the baby or something... I tend to have BIG babies.. my eldest started the trend at 10 and half pounds... right through to Gabe who was 10 pounds.... So they tend to know I measure quite a few weeks ahead all the time.. I have my next scan on Friday!!

I measured at 26cm at my 24 week appointment. She was about 1.5 weeks bigger on the ultrasound at that appointment too. But...I just make big babies...due date stays the same.

I am measuring right on time but on the u/s I had last Wednesday baby boy was measuring a few days ahead. I'm bigger this time than I was with Jackson. Just hoping that this baby is not much bigger than Jackson was.
