I just drank my drink and now I'm waiting my hour. I hope I pass. I guess the good thing is there is free WIFI so time will hopefully fly by. I have had the lab paperwork for a week. I've just been putting it off.

How long does it usually take to get results back?

Mine wasn't that bad. I was hoping I would pass too, but I didn't. And I passed the 3 hour. Same thing happened with my son. I got my results after the weekend on Monday. They should have yours by days end or tomorrow. I just wrote a post about GD and stuff and this Dr. Brewer....basically saying to take the results lightly. If you we're already a diabetic than it put's you in a different category, but if it's just GD it's fine. Before I even read this Dr. Brewer stuff, I had failed my first test by 6 points and my doc wasn't concerned. If I didn't want to take the 3 hour he didn't care. He said if I wanted I could take my A1C TEST and just minimize my sugars (empty calories basically) and that's it. But I took the 3 hour and my A1C. Passed and my A1C was lower than it ever was before pregnancy @ 5.1. So don't worry about it at all.

Thanks for the info

I guess the real reason I don't want to fail is to have to sit in the lab for a the three hour one.

I did it this morning and have felt fine. I was thinking the drink would have made me feel yucky.

I was okay until later at night then I got a headache and a little dizzy and thirsty but it wasnt too bad. My paperwork said they would have the results in 2 days. Good luck to both of us!

I did my 1hr test on Monday, and it sounds like my OB's office will only call if I failed. I start a new job on Thursday and the 3hr test would be hugely inconvenient, so I fasted the morning of the test with the hopes that it would maximize my chances of passing. I made sure to eat some peanut butter crackers as soon as I got back into my car and drank plenty of water... and overall it wasn't as bad as I had expected.

Good Luck. I hope you pass. I took my one hour on a Tuesday morning and had the results back by Wednesday afternoon, so hopefully your dr. is fast. I passed the one hour this pregnancy. I failed the one hour with Jackson and had to take the 3 hour test which was no fun but thankfully I passed.

It took couple days to get my result back. And oh, the only reason you should want to pass the test, is so you don't get GD!! I failed my test, and i had to go on a GD diet, and started insulin 2 nights ago!! Being on a diet, where you have to measure all your carb intakes, and no sugars is tough when you're pregnant!!!!!!!!!
