Lately he's still a "push and roll" kind of guy during the day. When he does kick it's like a moose and I get 1-2. So it doesn't really fall into the count criteria. But it's normal for him. If he's moving....it's good enough for me

I think they should be called "movement counts" hehe

I don't actually count very often. Most days she is pretty active, so I know there are enough, as several times a day I will get a bunch in a row. I only actually start to count if she's been quieter and I want to make sure all is well. Like just now before I started typing this I probably felt 4-5 good moves/rolls/kicks in a row.

i count movements if Im feeling nervous. Lately I dont know what it is but Im not "feeling" him as much but if I watch or put my hand on my belly he is moving Im just not feeling it as much inside, so I do my counts with my hand on there.

No she moves a lot so I don't think I need to count. I tell all mypatients to but don't do it myself. I didn't with karmen either just paid attention to whether she was active or not

My NP gave me my kick count thing this past week to start. She doesn't really care if I do it, just as long as I notice that baby is moving frequently. It says on my thing to count kicks, rolls and punches. Basically any movement except for hiccups.

ETA: I think mine says if I don't get 10 kicks in an hour, then drink some OJ or something and lie down. Then, if I still don't have 10 kicks by the 2 hour mark, I'm supposed to call L&D. Baby usually gives me 10 movements in 10 minutes when I pay attention though.

I don't do official kick counts. She's so active that I get to 10 super fast, so I think I only "officially" did a kick count one day when she was sleeping a little more than usual.

Not yet. She isn't super active during the day, but I feel a jolt from time to time. I'll probably keep a closer eye on it in a few weeks.

My dr. told me as long as she is active not to worry about them. But he said he should make 10 movements an hour so usually once a day I will count his movments and make sure I get 10 in a hour. He's pretty active so it usually doesn't take long to get 10 movements.

I am 30 weeks. My OB said not to even worry about them for a while. He didn't seem very concerned with them really. So I am not really doing it. He is busy rolling around several times a day and night. So I feel comfortable with not doing them.

I've never really done them. If I feel like I haven't felt the baby for awhile, I start paying attention and then I notice movements.. but for the most part I don't worry about it.

That's exactly what I have been told as well.

I don't do them unless I have gone a period of time without feeling him, then I don't even really count...just make sure he is moving good He has odd patterns. He moves mostly at night when I go to sleep.
