Will you be using diaper cream? BTDT mommies do you have a brand that you prefer? First time mommies, will you be trying them all to see which one you like better?

We are going cloth and you can't use diaper creams with those. We will only use it if we have to deal with diaper rash.

DS could not handle desitin it would burn him and he would scream. so we switched to butt paste. we never used much of any of it though. in fact I think I still have some unopened packs from him baby shower.

Allison used to get really bad rashes (we're potty trained now) if a poopy diaper was left on for any length of time. I tried Destin when she was first born and it did nothing (my kid with her weird skin!). I was on a search for a cream that would work- finally I found 2 creams that would clear up any rash on Allison, Burt's Bees Diaper Cream (kinda strong smelling) and Triple Paste. I recommend Triple Paste to all my friends with kids because no matter how bad the rash it is cleared up overnight!

Desitin Creamy was the miracle cure for Jackson. He didn't get diaper rash much but when he did nothing worked but the Desitin Creamy.

Absolutely, we will use one as needed. Desitin tho has burned two out of three babies for me tho. After buying literally every option off the shelf, we have found that triple paste is the absolute hands down best out there! And it goes on thick like desitin. Definetly try that one! And yes, I did buy every single one after a bad rash. It cost a lot, but now I know for sure what works and what doesn't.

We do cloth and I've only dealt with a rash once with Vi and never with Lily. Vi's was actually a yeast rash, but I used California Baby diaper cream (safe for cloth) before I figured out it was yeast. It actually cleared up a ton of it, but then she needed prescription stuff to fix it all.

Tali rarely had diaper rash and if she did we used desitin and it cleared it right up.

My oldest couldn't use it, neither could my second before we switched to cloth. If we have any issues with rashes it is usually due to build up in our diapers so I use Grandma El's or this great WAHM stuff I won and love.

We cloth diaper, but sposie at night. No cream in the clothies, but Kaiya got butt cream every night with her sposie. This baby will probably be the same. We used Desitin or Butt Paste. Also used Aquaphor for a bit when we went on a weekend trip home and she was in sposies the whole weekend and got a bad little burn type rash thingy on her tush. Aquaphor is amazing it was gone in one night!

Only one worth anything to me is Desitin Creamy and trust me I tried them all with my first son, we was a rash waiting to happen. My others haven't been that bad but Desitin Creamy is what I swear by!

I'll use it if baby gets a rash, otherwise leave it. I still have three different kinds from when my daughter had a bad rash we couldn't get rid and we tried several.

Desitin Creamy worked when Chase had rashes (only a few times). We will use it for Cole and if it doesn't work I will try others.
