Anyone here use prefolds?? I have a couple of covers I want to get prefolds for, but whenever I google prefolds I'm overwhelmed with the different types. Gerber looks like it has really affordable prefolds, but I'm curious to know just how absorbent they they are. TIA!

Gerber quality isn't great at all from the reviews I have read. I am getting 24 infant size pf from cottonbabies.com for $36. That is to go along with my 6 covers and 8 small all-in-ones.

Gerber prefolds suck! I use them for liners. I have some newborn (orange edge) Green Mountain prefolds that I really like. We use them for just about everything. I have infant ones from cotton babies that are nice too - maybe softer than the GMDs too.

Cotton babies doesn't have newborn prefolds, I think. Like truly newborn. They may say the Econobum or whatever is from birth to potty training, but I wouldn't put a one size diaper of any sort on a newborn. You can get used newborn prefolds for cheap and they are easy to boil.

I have orange and yellow edge (newborn and small infant, I think) from Green Mountain Diapers: Cloth diapers and diaper covers for baby I bought them with Lily and used them for both girls, plus loaned them out to some friends and they're still in excellent condition for this baby. Super absorbent, soft, etc.

If you are looking for inexpensive got to Cottonbabies.com. They have both Chinese and Indian prefolds. They are last expensive, quality ones I've found. Shipping is free too. The Indian ones are softer.

wow I can't type.... They are the LEAST expensive I have found, for quality prefolds.

Cotton Babies has infant size 7-15lb..I might have to fold them down a bit at first, but they should last a good while.

I heard great things about Green Mountain also. With Ava, I started CD at about 9 mo. This will be my first time CDing from the get-go. Thanks for the question and the response ladies! I am grateful for the info as well
