So I've started already, and so far i have 6 littles bottles of liquid formula (free samples from Nestle goodstart), pack of newborn diapers, diaper change pad. I plan on also putting in a camera, underwears, pads for "you know what".......what else???

I haven't had a baby yet, but my advice from spending the last week in the maternity wing -- bring your own shampoo/conditioner and soap or shower gel!

The stuff they have here is hospital grade (go figure ) and functional but kinda antiseptic-smelling and not very soft on the skin. It's an all-over body wash/shampoo combo, too, and doesn't work very well for long hair.

I brought wipes, similar to baby wipes but not for babies...I think the brand was Kleenex but I can't recall for sure. I was told I would have time for a shower in the birthing room, but then they got a rush of other deliveries and had to move me to a semi-private. The lady I shared a room with was in and out of the shared bathroom for hours, and I loved having the wipes to sort of clean the sweat off of me before I could bathe for real

Bring lots of pads, and underwear, although the hospital may supply you with some.

I'm planning to bring snacks. We haven't toured the hospital yet, so I don't know if this is a no-no, but I'll probably bring them anyways. I also plan to bring the breast pump just in case there is a medical reason why the baby can't nurse right away.
