We have four cats, one of whom has had chronic renal failure for the last 3 years. He's 17 years old and is my husband's little buddy.
Anyway, hubby said the cat was looking a little off, so he took him to the vet this afternoon.
I just got a text that his chest and abdomen is filled with fluid. Hubby is off to the ER vet with kitty to have an ultrasound; the vet thinks there's a slim chance it isn't cancer and it may be his last day.
It's killing me to be here in the hospital and not there with him. It just breaks my heart to think of him driving around to the different vets with his little sick friend, not knowing if he's going to have to put him down.
I'm trying so hard not to cry or stress because it brings the cramping and contractions back. This really sucks.
I'm so so sorry. He look the very same as my cat who is my baby. I know how hard it is we had to put our King Charles to sleep after 12 years. Its like loosing part of the family.
You and your family are in my prayers.
Aww I'm so sorry! I'm a cat person too and I have a tabby male named KitKat and an orange and white male named Butters. KitKat is closer to DH and Butters is closer to me- I can only imagine how hard this is for you.... My kitties are like my babies!
