Sorry that I have not been able to update everyone.... its been a CRAZY week with my lil one in my tummy and my youngest girl! Here it goes.....
Update on u/s and the baby:
My doctor did call... she is measuring small but not to the point that we have to do something right now (which is good). She is sending me out of town to a high risk specialist to do a high risk u/s to get more details. She thinks when my placenta detached some at the beiginning of my pregnancy, it could have caused the baby not be getting enough nutrients. So she is going to have an even closer eye the baby and I. She did mentioned we might still deliver early but not right this second....! So good news for now and everything else is up in the air!
Now to my 2nd thing: My 21 month old lil girl!
So she decided to get another cough on Wednesday.... it was not a big deal. Well Thurs came around.... the morning she was acting fine in her class... eating/drinking/and playing! She took a 3 hr nap and woke up not feeling well! By the time I got off of work and we left school (I work at the daycare she was at) she looked real puney and tried to take another nap which was unusual for her. We get home... she perks up and play for 20 mins. She sat next to me and just laid on my side.... I checked her temperature: 99.6. Which was not that bad... About 5 mins later she laid next to me on her stomach... she had a lil spasm and sat back up and was playful (didnt think anything of it at the time). A minute later... she laid on her tummy and went into a full fledge seizure... At first I thought it was just chills or spasms from the fever so I called my hubby in and told him something is wrong.... he turned her over and u could tell she was having one.... then it got worst! We got her to the big couch so she could have room.... Chris was working with her. She had 4 seizures during 30 minutes and they all lasted anywhere from 5 to 10 mins long! It also made her stopped breathing on top of it! So he had to do cpr on her! It was crazy! The ambulence got there and she had 2 with them! They were able to stablize her and take her to the hospital. She has a respiratory infection with febreial seizures. She is now prone to them everytime to gets a fever! Esp since she had 4 of them and they were long ones! When the ambulence got there, her fever was only 101 so it was not high at all but it was sad seeing that! She is doing better now.... still have a fever with a bad cough but still eating/drinking and with meds playing....
Goodness how scary!! I'm glad all is well with you and baby, and that you are being watched more closely now. I'm glad your DH was able to perform CPR. I think ALL parents should be required to be certified in cpr. I have to be through my job, and knowing the skills gives me a little more peace of mind that I could take care of my babies if needed. Hope you have a nice calm, relaxing and restful rest of the weekend/week!!
Thank you! I have to know cpr and first aid for my job also. I was on the phone with 911 when she stopped breathing (I didnt know what to think to see my daughter changing colors like that) but thankfully my husband was there. I would have been able to do it if I had to but I was better at calling that time. Now the whole daycare has to read the 16 pg booklet the drs gave us about it so they will know what to do!
