Do you have special plans for the umbilical cord (delayed clamping, banking the blood, donating the blood, having dad or someone else cut it ect)

Plan on doing delayed clamping and then have DH cut it.

When DS was born, he didn't think he wanted to do it, but when the time came he jumped Right in!

Just regular clamping. Since there's no scientific testing proving the need, I'm not messing with that.

Having daddy cut the cord.

Was going to do cord banking in hopes of it helping hubby's kidney disease down the road but everyone says it won't benefit him? So probably won't now.

I am going to talk to my dr about the benefits of delayed cord clamping. But DH will definitely cut the cord.

No special plans. He cut the cord last time with our first son together but he's not too sure he wants to do it again lol!

We're delaying but it's standard procedure with my midwives anyway. I would like DH to cut it but he's getting a little freaked out about the birth so now he's afraid of even being in there lol. If he really freaks out I think it would be cool if I could do it myself, but I don't know if that's possible. Plus I think he will do fine in the moment lol.

Going to ask DH if he wants to cut the cord this time. They forgot to ask him last time and I don't know if he could have handled it. He was so nervous and excited.

Daddy will cut it. As of right now, that's the only plan.

I want to bank the blood...but DH says it is too expensive...

As of now, hubby actively does NOT want to cut the cord. We'll give him the choice, of course, but I'm cool if he doesn't want to do it.

We're planning on donating the cord blood.

Regular clamping and doctor will cut it. DH is squeamish and has no interest.
