I know some of you know I work night shift as an RN on a very busy pediatric Oncology unit. Well I have a history of blood clots in my right leg and about 10 years ago I had my saphenous vein removed from that leg. Well two days ago that leg became much more swollen than it usually is, so yesterday my doctor (who has been trying to get me to stop working for several weeks) said no more working for this pregnancy. I am officially on Maternity leave! I am excited about it and nervous at the same time since my plan was to work another two weeks and our budget is already tight. DH was very sweet though and agrees 100% with my Doctor.
Now to start doing all of the things to get ready for the baby that I have been putting off!

Enjoy it as much as possible! We too are on a very tight budget (I'm currently the only one working) and since the doctor put me out on bedrest I'm using my 7 wks 100% pay before Brayden even gets here and then I have 2 weeks totally unpaid and then only 60% of my income until doctor releases me back 6 weeks after delivery. However, we are lucky that we got a tax return this year to help ease it..and I figure if a few bills are late my health and having a full term healthy baby are more important! (And hubby is helping organize a garage sale as well...to help with some of our savings).
