Today I had a huge clump of clear, sticky gooey stuff come out down there. Since then my underwear has been wet off and on I've changed twice. It's clear fluid, with no smell to it. But now I'm wondering if maybe I'm leaking or lost part of my mucous plug? Should I call my dr just to be safe? I'm also a little crampy this morning...no timeable contractions but crampy all the same.

yes of course, call your doc. Please. At least to inform him and give them an opportunity to make a decision.

Yes I would call, especially with your history. It sounds like mucous plug which can always regenerate but they may want to do a ferning test to see if the leak is amniotic fluid or not.

I agree that a call to be safe is in order...just to make sure it was just your plug and not fluid. KUP!

I would call because of the issues you have been having with contractions, etc the past few weeks.

I lost my plug a few weeks ago, but I lost it early with both girls and had it regenerate. My NP was not concerned at all since it seems normal for my pregnancies, I wasn't leaking fluid and I didn't have contractions.

Ok I'm home. They kept me on the monitor in the office for awhile because I was having some contractions but they did peter out (thank goodness) so they let me come home. She thinks I lost part of my mucous plug, I'm a tiny bit more dialated but not a bunch, so I'm still good. And it def wasn't amniotic fluid so he's still sealed in there!

I'd definitely call in your situation because of all the preterm contractions. Hope everything is okay!
