Ok, so with the crib sheet the idea is that you just zip off the old and put on the new. Sounds great right? Except, when caroline leaks into her sheet it soaks the matresspad as well. Which is why we have to do layers of them. So, how do you get around that? Cuz it sounds so nice to not have to remove the entire matress! I'm doing this daily now with her teething, and I gotta say......it got old a looong time ago. Thanks for any tips!!

Honest answer? We just did a mattress pad and 2 sheets, and anytime they were soaking through consistently, we just put a couple of folded towels under them. Lazy probably..but cheap and a lot easier to change at night. It kept the sheets/mattress relatively safe through the night then I could just change and throw it all in the wash together.

They make these pads that are waterproof... Not sure the exact name. They were great with Aiden, I'd out them under him when he was a baby and if he leaked then all I had to change with that pad.

We use a waterproof mattress pad that I can just wipe off. So if I need to change the sheet when Jackson has an accident, I just zip off an then wipe off the mattress pad. I love the quick zip sheets. They are great.

Oooh, anybody know where you can buy those hosptal washable matress pads they use? Not the puppy pads, but the washable ones. I bet that would work. I have one I grabbed, and we use it constabtly.

I never had that, i just doubled up on sheets.
I would do a matress pad ( you might need 2) a sheet, a matress pad ( again 2) and another sheet. That way in the middle of the night, all i had to do was rip one of the layers off.

Is it drool from teething or diaper leaks? I don't know how old your daughter is but we had to switch E to overnight diapers around 9 months bc she was such a pee pee queen and then at a year we started putting a cloth diaper cover over her disposable overnight diaper for extra insurance. As far as just drooling or spit up we just have a waterproof mattress pad and we do double sheets.
