So I've always heard that the full moon somehow puts women in labor and more babies are born during the full moon. Have you guys heard this? I wonder if we will have any babies born this full moon?

Yeah I've heard this. There was a full moon sometime around when I was full term with DS. My grandma was convinced I would go that weekend. No such luck

Well I'm contracting but that is nothing new lol. I'm not going in until I'm huffing and puffing and if DH misses the birth..sorry bout your luck!

I too have heard the full moon causes more women's water to break and go into labor. Something to do with the tides or something.

I am having tons of BHs but just assuming they will go away. however, full moon is definitely when labor started for me with DS. so maybe the May full moon will do it for me.

I hope not..none of us are full term right? I used to work in the maternity unit and full moons were our busiest days!
I believe it has something to do with the tides?

I believe this. DH was pointing out how big and full the moon was tonight. I told him not to jinx me

I was born on a full moon! I thought it would be cool if one of my daughters was too, but it's not really meant to be.... I think my due date is right around a new moon, so neither full moon works for me, lol. I think it's one of those things that may sway the pendulum if you're right on the edge of labor, but isn't going to do anything to the rest of us who aren't close.

Well a friend of mine from my other PR was actually due yesterday, and she just had her baby boy a few hours ago. So perhaps the full moon means something. I've heard this before.

Edit: Hmmmm, very interesting. I guess my due date (May 28th) is a full moon. Fun!
