Your welcome samantha! I had so much fun picking out your presents, I couldn't decide. haha So,I just bought everything. haha My shower buddy with caroline went a little overboard last time, so I figured I would too. Glad you like everything, and I'm willing to bet you'll love the muslim blankets if you haven't used them before. Wyatt stole the stuffed toy from the towel I got this baby too. lol
Thank you for the onsies and the toys! They are really cute, and something I hadn't gotten yet! I'm behind on warm weather clothes, ,and its hot here now.

Everyone got great gifts. Such cute items.
I didn't join in the shower for two reason.

1) I'm in Ireland so didn't want to put anyone to the extra expense of postage.
2) I've 2 babies so again didn't want to put anyone to extra cost.

But I love looking at all yer wonderful gifts.

Awwww, well thank you! I kept looking for a lovey or something big sister big brother, but once again kept running into the budget thing and couldn't find a soft lovey Bummer! I walked around burlington forever picking out your stuff though lol! I always want to make sure someone likes it and I get all nervous haha!

Thank you Sarah (SA712) for the burp cloth gift set! I love tortoise/turtles too so it is very nice. I will try and get a pic up later, I am pressed for time now.

And I'm glad you like yours. The newborn toy was my son's but we only opened it and never used it - I hate clowns! Like they freak me out, so it just sat in a storage bin for 3 years Hope she likes it!

No offense MJ, but who regifts a shower gift for an online shower. That is totally classless. Even if it is unused. And not only that, but to admit you HATE it, but hey maybe someone else wants it.

I take it back, i mean to offend. That is just embarrassing.

That really is classless and rude, especially seeing it has been sitting around for 3 years. It is not polite and it is just plain rude, especially since you buddy took the time and money to purchase you a NEW gift. Sure I have a lot of stuff I could have "regifted" but signing up for the shower I knew I would be purchasing a new item. You are just tacky

Wow, just wow! I don't like clowns, so it was never used. The toy itself is great, Lamaze brand hanging baby toy, high quality. I included it in addition to a brand new baby Einstein toy and a new outfit from Target. I just wanted to include more beyond the price limit, since it was a lot of fun. But you know, go ahead and make assumptions and then call me names. If that's what makes you feel good!

And I thought I was the one feeling mean! Talk about nasty!

Oh and fresh batteries in the Einstein toy, since I am so "tacky", "classless"and apparently embarrassing. I hope you both are the ones embarrassed now.

I have nothing to be embarrassed about in the slightest. You did not state you sent anything else so in quickly reading one would assume that you only sent something you had lying around your house.

Thanks for the apology for calling me names ... oh wait a minute, you aren't offering one! What a surprise!

Next time I will be sure in responding to a specific person, that I am very explicit. Because otherwise I guess I deserve to be called names! That makes so much sense. Especially considering she already states ALL that I gave her when she first responded to the thread. I suppose I should now call you a name for having poor reading comprehension?

Perhaps in the future we could all try to send private messages when we're saying something that might offend or embarrass someone, and keep the board itself for kind statements.

There ya go!

Sorry Melissa that this thread turned into this. I will add my pic of the burp cloth later. Otherwise, it should have always been a thread of "thank you" and not negativity or name calling, and I hope it returns to that.

I knew that you'd included it in addition as well. I'm sorry they blasted it. I thought it was sweet of you to think to include it.

I'm glad you liked it, MJ. I'm sorry this all came out like this.

Just being honest because Dream2bemommy22 is my girl & has been for years. It's Not that i'm not grateful for what I got but the toys were both clearly used or been hanging around for a while. She was just sticking up for me. The outfit was definitely new (and adorable, thank you) but I had confided in her the other day that unfortunately, the cloth toy had looked like it had cat hair on it & my DD is alergic to cats so I couldn't keep it in the house. I think once MJ had admitted to regifting and was kind of crass about it, it set her off.

I have to admit, I was a little bummed by the way you had said how much you hated the toy and that Clowns are creepy but it was good enough for me. Only because I spent time researching your posts for a few months back to see if you mentioned anything you liked or disliked and whether you had shared your little guys name, yet (which I don't think you have.) The only thing I noticed was in a post a few weeks back you mentioned that you weren't into things that were too cutesy or over the top so I wanted to find something subtle but nice. Maybe it was just the way it was worded and it's not how you meant it but it kind of bummed me out a little that. Maybe I just misunderstood you.

I don't want to keep this going but I had to say something on Shannon's behalf because she's a good friend & it came from a good place.

I just don't how can calling me those nasty names over a gift exchange could come from a good place

I wish you would have just messaged me if you found my gifts unacceptable. I have never had this happen. I go beyond the price limit on the outfit and the Einstein toy that were new, put in nice batteries, etc, and then added in an extra that I thought you wanted because you said you wanted play gym toys for Lauren. I thought it was funny that I have a clown phobia, it wasn't meant to be that a clown wasn't good enough for my son but is good enough for you. I wasn't trying to be crass to hurt your feelings. I thought we had a rapport joking about how we both had not included cards before, so I was just being "me", certainly not trying to upset you. My son would have loved that toy! I didn't think the Einstein toy looked used or dumpy, and it was wrapped at the store I bought it from so I assumed wrapped is new. I'm sorry if that too looked like crap. I ... wasn't trying to give you junk. It was hard to not go even more over the limit then I did.

I just don't know what to say. I spent about $17 before shipping on your gifts, and I only limited it to follow the rules. I guess I didn't look closely enough to make sure they looked really good. I'm glad the Target outfit looks well to you. And we don't have cats and haven't since well before I had my son. No pets at all. Just to ease your worry there. I'm sorry there was a hair on it.

I will send you back the gift you gave me tomorrow. I appreciate the gesture and it is lovely. I .... never intended for all of this to happen because my gifts weren't good enough. I'm sorry they weren't and that it bummed you out. It would have been nice if you had just mentioned it to me instead of all of this leading to others calling me names on a public forum. I still don't see how I deserved that, but apparently others do, so well what do I know.

Ok, I'll get the gift set to you shipped out tomorrow. Sorry again ...
