So my BH contraction have often had me feeling short of breath, like my lungs are constricted and I can't get enough oxygen and have to take a big deep breath. So I googled "Braxton Hicks take my breath away" and tons of hits came up, many women on various past and present message board site posts asking the same thing! Apparently this is common! Anyone else getting this?

Intersting makes me wonder if if I have been having them. Every now and then I feel like someone is sitting on my chest and feel like I cant catch a breath.

Yes when I get super strong BH they do this to me sometimes.

Yup. It almost feels like it's squeezing my lungs too. I have to stop and try and breath deep until it stops. Makes the whole bh thing looks way more dramatic than it is! lol! But it beets the real contractions, sledge hammer effect. I'll take bh over that anyday!
