I meant to update sooner. Archer was born Thursday morning via repeat c section at 8:12am. 8 lbs 2 oz and 20 something inches. I need to ask how long exactly. My OB said he was very high and I had A LOT of fluid so he thinks he took a big gulp coming out. His breathing was labored so they took him to the nursery and then the NICU. He is doing a lot better today. But he's in there for fluid in his lungs and when breathing hard after birth busted a sac and made a small hole in his lung. We were so scared! But he's doing better. He still has labored breathing on and off but not constantly. He is receiving oxygen this whole time. At first from a CPAP and now just a small cannula. I got up once I had feeling in my legs and got wheeled down there. Then started walking very soon after. Everyone keeps saying they are impressed. But I HAD to get to my baby asap. He has a great thorough neonatologist. She suspects he will not be able to come home with me Sunday. I was very upset hearing this of course. But I want to make sure he is well also. I don't think he will be here more than a few days after I leave. I have never had a NICU baby so this is all very hard. DH tears up a lot after we visit with him. It just melts my heart to see him love Archer so much. The boys especially my 7 year old of course wish they could see him. I will go into more detail about everything in my birth story. I want to write it while fresh in my mind. But because my spinal took over 10 minutes to do and he couldn't get to the spot he needed I now have spinal fluid leakage and have had severe neck and headaches. So that makes it hard to type out a long birth story. I did get a spinal blood patch today. But it's not completely helping. Oh and we got to finally hold him today!

Oh and I talked to my OB today. I had a very severe diastasis recti problem. He showed me with his hands how far it was spead. Looked near 6 inches. Anyway he stitched it up for me yay! So I feel as though I got an extra cosmetic procedure without paying a plastic surgeon

Anyway on to some pics I did get some with his eyes open today but they are not uploaded yet.

What a beautiful baby!

I can't imagine how scary that must have been for you (I'm sure it still is, but I'm super glad to hear that it sounds like he's getting better every day)!!

I'm also sorry about the spinal leakage. I had something similar after an epidural steroid injection into my neck in 2006 and the pain was crazy. I hope the blood patch starts working for you soon.

Thought and lots of prayers. You might check, my first dd was a nicu baby. When it came time, the hospital discharged me but admitted her to my room. That way i did not have to leave her. I was allowed to stay in her room. I hope you both recover quickly. My dd also infiltrated her lungs and ended up with pneumonia from it she recovered quick.
