I know it's normal to spot after a check, I'm just wondering how long. I got checked around 1:30 and Im still spotting. It's not much and its brown so not a big deal just wondering how long to expect.

Good question... I don't know. I would say that depends on a lot of factors and spotting for a couple days could be normal.

spotting is totally normal. Even heavy bleeding is normal ( but should be reported to your MW/OB) i bled very heavily after an internal exam with my OB with DS, and he just had me come back in so he cold check me again, and basically shoved some gauze up me to stop the bleed. Some people just have a more sensitive cervix.

some DR's will do a little membrane sweeping while up there... on purpose or on accident so that could have happen.

Some spotting after a cervical check is normal, but if you get concerned don't be afraid to call your OB/MW and let them know.

It's normal to spot for however long. Depends on how much bleeding you had afterward, it all comes out eventually. Brown is old blood so its not active bleeding.
