Does your baby get gas? What are you doing to help relieve baby's gas?

Jacob seems to get gas at night or so that's what my husband thinks is going on. I'm not so sure if he is having gas or just wants to be held. it seems like in the middle of the night after I feed him he will cry out in pain. I burp him and sometimes we get some burps out but then sometimes he will just stop crying when I hold him which makes me think maybe it's not gas. I am wondering if something I am eating during the day is making his stomach hurt, although I have not ate the same thing on any two days. I am going to talk to his pediatrician but just wondered if your baby's had any sort of gas problems.

we give her the gas drops(not helping a ton) and yesterday we had to do a suppository.

Yes he does and he has reflux too I eliminated milk out of my diet to see if it would help and it seemed to help a little so he might have a milk intolerance.

Archer has had bad gas from day one. The nicu even put him on a specific formula for it. With him it's easy to tell. I hear and smell tons of farting. I burp him good and use gas drops some. But it's still there. I thought it might be because he's bottle fed and getting extra air that way. Not sure.

I would try to make some chamomile tea, dilute it a bit and give it to him with a dropper or something. It helps.

Oh man, I was going to post something similar today!

Kira has been so fussy and farty and spit-up-y over the past couple of days. She's not so bad in between feedings but whenever she eats, it takes forever to get her comfortable and settled back down. I'm pretty sure hers is gas or other tummy troubles because she gets really angry and red-faced and fussy and cries and then there will be a huge fart and she'll visibly calm down. Poor little thing!

I try to hold her upright during and after feedings and burp her afterwards (though I never seem to get any good burps out of her). Sometimes I'll lie her down on my lap and do bicycle movements with her legs, which can get a fart out.

I can't think of anything I've eaten to trigger this -- I've eaten different things every day and nothing that's called out as a particular trigger (no caffeine, no spicy foods, etc). I've been kind of farty too though, come to think of it, so maybe I did eat something. Who knows. Hopefully it's out of both of our systems soon!

I was going to post about this too! Ben is constantly having gas pains ,esp when its time to eat. I have to wait for it to pass in order to settle him enough to feed. He screams in pain and when it passes he looks like he passes out ( lol) because he so relieved. I give him the drops and it seems to help if I lay him tummy to tummy when I lay down. If it werent for those stupid gas pains he would be such a good baby as far as crying goes!

Gripe water is good stuff. I got it as a baby gift. She either calms right away or has a BM right after and feels better

im in the oct ddc, but with my daughter i used gripe water...much better than the other drops, also a luke warm bottle of water helps to pass gas, doing the spider walk on the stomach loosens up the gas bubbles, hope this helps!

Popping in from the March PR. Y'all should try The Windi for your LO's gas problems. They work wonders and you aren't having to give them anything. I got mine from Amazon.

Abby had horrific gas and tummy issues for a few days. We tried gripe water and mylecon drops, but nothing was helping her. She would stop crying if I held her too, just like Jacob. But I think it was just the comfort of either being in a certain position or just being with mommy that calmed her because I could literally feel the gas moving inside her while holding her. Anyway, I finally figured out it was a medication I was taking that made her so fussy. After that, she only has gas problems once in a while from things like the spinach I had last night for dinner lol. Mylecon and gripe water usually help solve that problem. Oh and the vibration setting on her cosleeper
