Hey everyone! My little girl had an unexpected early arrival. On thursday my husband finally came home from Korea, after many delays. On friday i had my 39th week appointment. We were gonna check Hayden's position and if she was still breech we were going to be choosing our date to have the c-section. Well when my doctor was checking her position she decided to measure the amount of fluids because a week before that it was low. Hayden was still breech and my doctor said my levels were dangerously low. She said she wouldn't feel comfortable leaving Hayden in there any longer. So we walked over to the hospital and started getting ready for my c-section.
Long story short, my c-section experience was AWFUL! She was born at 4:27pm, she weighed 5 lbs 14 oz and 18 inchs long. I blacked out alot, the only memory i have was seeing Hayden being cleaned up. I had no clue my husband was even in the room and he held Hayden next to my face, I even touched her. I only know this because of the pictures the nurse took. I was pretty shocked when I saw all these pictures of me I had no memory of. Afterwards they brought her into the recovery room with me. But i was still blacking out and i was extrememly sick. So i refused to hold her or feed her.

Dh knew how bad i wanted to do skin to skin and feed her so he kept offering to help but I knew it wouldn't be a good idea. I don't remember how long I was in recovery but when they finally took me to my room dh was there feeding Hayden formula. I was disappointed in myself for not being able to feed her. I still refused to hold her and feed her up until an hour after I had gotten into the room. When I finally felt I could control myself I asked for her. I obviously feel in love with her instantly.

I stare at her all the time. I can't believe she is finally in my arms. Luckily when I first tried to breastfeed things were amazing! After a few days her latching is getting worse, I don't really know what I am doing....but I am trying to figure it out. Recovery is going good, it sucks, but I am looking good. Oh and I forgot to mention Hayden has breech legs and head. Her legs are what i can only explain as "frog legs." She will straighten them out when she sleeps or eats. But when she is being held up or getting her diaper changed her legs curl up. Her head is also flat. The pedi says everything will go back to normal soon. Other than that she is completely perfect!
