anyone have any experience with these?

my daughter has had this cute little spasm type jerk in her legs since birth. at her 2 month appointment, her ped noted it was myoclonic jerks and not to be alarmed, they're common and they eventually stop. but, it still doesnt sit well with me. they don't look painful, moreso cute if anything, its just google is a terrible thing. everywhere i read it mentions seizures and with my background that scares me. anyhow, my first never experienced these. so i was just wondering how common they were. anyone know anyone who has had these and they went away?

I have never heard of this but I would trust your pedi ad if he says don't worry then I wouldn't worry. I remember my OB telling me never to google anything because they always give you the absolute worst case scenario.

I have never heard of this. I would probably be driving myself crazy googling it. I know with me I would just keep an eye on it. I have had doctors be wrong about things before and they didn't take what I said to heart even though I know my child best.

My son has this. I have never googled it.. I didn't really think too much of it until you posted. I just figured it was a weird baby thing, lol.

thanks ladies. good to know my babes isn't alone. he mentioned it had to do with their nervous system not fully developed. after 6 monthes, it should stop. i've already noticed it lessened, so thats somewhat comforting.

Jax does that, I thought it was normal lol. As you said, I thought it was a nervous system thing.
