Has anybody ever heard that if you lose more than 2 lbs a weeks after 6 weeks, there are toxins released in your breastmilk that can hurt the baby? I read that somewhere and i'm just wondering what it does to your baby and if it is true. I recently started weight watchers and I've lost 2 lbs this week so I just want to make sure that I'm not going to do anything that would hurt my baby.

Here's a good article from Kellymom about dieting while nursing: http://kellymom.com/nutrition/mother...om-weightloss/

Usually, the toxins are only a concern if you're rapidly losing weight, such as from a cleanse, and you're not ingesting enough calories.

Never heard that. I'm sure there is some sort of study done on like 50 people that says this, but as long as you are taking in the amount of calories you need for production, I highly doubt you're hurting anything. I'm skeptical when people try to say things are wrong with breastmilk....it's hard to mess it up, honestly.

I have JUST in the past 4 days myself gone back to ww online program.. I was on it before I fell pregnant... Its a great program.. I was a bit concerned about the whole losing too much thing also (I lost 4 pounds in 4 days this week!! )... And to be honest, I probably think that was a little TOO much to lose in a few days...So was a bit concerned.. Thanks for the post!!!
