Is anyone signing with their baby? How is it going is baby using sign language at all yet? How about general hand motions like pointing, waving, high fiving?

We have been casually signing with Liam for a long time but have gotten serious about it in the last month. IN the last couple of days he's really started using it, but he has a long way to go lol. He can wave and he signs "milk" the problem is he signs milk whenever he wants anything. Its pretty funny he even tries to call the cat to him by signing milk.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately! I am planning to look up some different "signs". Hunter was crabby the other night and I thought he was just fussy, after he gobbled up a cracker, it dawned on me he was probably hungry. If he could sign, I might have gotten his signal earlier among all the other commotion of the night. poor honey.... I still feel like a bad mama!

I've been taking a sign language class with some other moms from my mom's group for the last month or so. It's SO much fun!

I sign all the time with Kira. She doesn't sign anything back -- the closest thing she does is smack herself in the crotch when she wants her diaper changed -- but I know she'll get it eventually.

We have been casually signing for a while. she doesn't sign back yet. though she does wave and clap. We have only done basic "eat" "more" and "all done". DS got those ones down good and it was great for him. He has even been trying to help her sign. I was watching him try to make her say "please" a couple months ago. it was soo cute!

Nope. No baby signs here. No waving, No clapping, No pointing. LOL..

But LOTS of laughing and smiling. We haven't really worked with him on any of those.

He IS doing peek-a-boo though. Does that count??

He hides under the cover and pops his head out and smiles. Then we go "PEEK A BOO!" and he repeats.

We don't do signing here. He does do peek a boo like Ashley said and if I say "who's the ladies love" he raises his hands. He has the cognitive ability, but I push words instead of signs.

They teach sign language at my kids daycare. Jackson will still use some of the signs he learned as a baby especially more. Jacob doesn't really know any yet.
