Has your baby said their first word yet? What was it? Is baby trying to talk even if it is just a bunch of babbble?

Jacob is trying really hard to talk but it is still a bunch of syllables no real words yet. I'm trying really hard to get him to say mama and DH is trying hard to get him to say dada..lol.

Kira says "dada" a lot, but it's not referring to hubby (or anything, really) -- it's still just the syllables. I'm dada, hubby is dada, the cat is dada, etc. She did say "mama" when she was sick, but I'm not sure if she was just crying and "muh muh muh muh" was easy to "say".

She talks ALL THE TIME though. Her favorite word is dodle. She says dodle dodle dodle all day long. Sometimes interspersed with Abba OhDoyo. We hear a lot about the adventures of Abba OhDoyo Dodle.

A lot of "da da da da" during the day and a few "muh muh muh" when he's sleepy. but no true words. My hubby is actually trying to teach him "ba ba" for bottle. I think LO is understanding the intent, which seems pretty cool.

Rylynn has said mama. I've got her on video answering me when I ask who I am, and she replied mama! She says da da da deeeeeee! a lot too. She likes to shriek as well. It's ear piercing at times! Once when the cat walked by she said ki ki, but I'm not sure she really meant that was the cat.
