It's almost time to move Liam out of his infant seat and buy a convertable and its soo hard to choose! I want the saftest seat i can get and I dont mind a little splurge about $250 is the top of my budget. I want it to last a long time, be comfortable and fit in our car (ford escape) I want to buy in the next week or so because there is the trade in event at bru and the baby sale at target. I still need to look at some of these in person but not all are in stores. Im almost driving myself crazy.

So I have it narrowed down to this list in no particular order

recaro proride

evenflo triumph 65lx

Britax boulevard 70

Diono radian rxt

Saftey 1st Complete Air

I think Im leaning toward the recaro right now, but its so hard to commit.

anyone have one of these, looked at them? Any advice?

I hate these big decisions

UGH I need to start looking too. I bought a $300 Britax when Madison was a baby and thought I would just buy a new cover and re use it with Bryson... well actually my husband and mom think I should and that the expiration dates are just to make you buy new car seats more often. So they are mad that I am even thinking about it when there is a "perfectly fine" car seat here already.

Bryson is only 16 pounds and still has tons of room left in his Graco 35 so maybe over the summer I will get active and look.

We have the Britax Boulevard 70 for Jackson and it is a good car seat. I feel like he is nice and protected in it. It is big but it fit nicely in my Ford Explorer so I think it would do okay in your Escape. I like the protection it has on the side of his head. He has been in it since he was about 18 months and he's 3 1/2 now and still fits great.

My sister in law has the recaro and she really likes it alot. It is actually the one I have been leaning towards for Jacob. it is a big decision.

I've got a 2 Graco My Rides (one for each kid) and absolutely love them! JR has been in since birth. He can rear face in it until 40 lbs (Allison is still RFing at almost 3), forward face until 65 lbs, and then all I have to buy is a booster seat. They are big seats so my 5 seater SUV is reduced to 4 unless I switch my seats out for my spares but that's not a huge deal either.

ugh it's so hard but I think Im leaning toward the boulevard. We don't really need one yet but everyone has carseats on sale for a pretty good discount right now so I want to just get it and stop obsessing. Diapers.com and albeebaby.com have britax for %25 off

I looked at the Britax ones, but in the end went with Graco MyRide 70. I like that she can rear face until 40 or so lbs in it. It's big, but I drive a full size suv so that wasn't an issue good luck choosing!

DH isnt convinced about spending $230 on a carseat yet. I ran across the evenflo triumph at walmart. It was okay looked roomy and comfortable Liam loved sitting in it and I think I would be okay with it, but Im not %100 sold on the tightening system, it uses this twisty handle on the side and while its easy to use I dont like that it only "locks in" at certain positions in the turn so one click isnt quite tight enough, but the next click might be too tight. Its not a big deal and I could get used to it but I prefer a more fluid tightening option. I think I will go to babiesrus sometime this weekend and look at the other options in person still

That's what we did Becky when we were trying to decide on which one to get Jackson. We just went to Babies R Us and tried them out.

well i just ordered the boulevard from albeebaby.com for $229 Its a great deal that extends until next month i believe.
Im not crazy about the safecell hugs pads but they dont have to be used until ff so thats a few years away, and Im hoping liam doesnt hate the headwings. I really considered the marathon because its a little simpler but, albee baby has an exclusive pattern (sterling) for the boulevard that I couldnt pass up and i know that even though i dont love the extra features they will keep him safer.
now I cant wait until it gets here

I think you'll like. The head wings don't seem to bother my 3 year old at all. the Blvd works great for him.

We have the boulevard for Chase and Cole will use it soon We love it. We are getting Chase the Britax that converts to a booster, so now we'll be covered with all 3 kids. Chase had been in the Boulevard since 6 months
