Kira had been sleeping in her travel crib for a few weeks until we could get her regular crib into the old guest bedroom (which will now be her room).
One advantage that we hadn't realized is that the travel crib is mesh all the way down so her pacis couldn't escape! Now she wakes up and gets pissed when her paci has escaped out the slats of the crib.
Do you guys just dump a bunch of pacis in the crib and assume the baby will find one? Or do you use mesh crib bumpers or those stuffed animal paci holders or....?
We use the mesh bumpers too. I have a paci in her crib, but she won't take it. It's just there in case she wants to hold it. I also keep the bumpers lower...so above the mattress, there's probably only about 5-6 inches of them showing. Just enough so that she doesn't get her little arms and legs stuck.
Jacob doesn't take a paci but I think those mesh bumpers might do the trick for you. they would help keep the paci in the crib. You might try putting several paci's in there first before you spend the money on the bumpers though. Just see if that works.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy
