Have you started planning baby's first birthday party yet? Will you send out invitations? Will you just invite family or both family and friends? Will you have baby his/her own cake to chow into? Do you have a theme picked out for baby's birthday party yet? where do you plan on having the party?

We started talking about Jacob's first birthday party this weekend and I think we are going to do little monkey's as our theme because we are always calling Jacob our little monkey. I will send out invitations and will most likely invite family and a few friends, probably the ones with young kids. We will have his birthday party at our house and yes we will have him his own little cake to eat.

I'm still in a total stage of indecision. I still don't know whether I want to do a big party with friends and family, or something small, or what.

Right now my inclination is to do a small party with family and closest friends while my inlaws are in town. Then maybe a couple of weeks later, do a bigger general BBQ party with just friends more as a "we survived the first year!" party for us.

We are doing a princess royal ball theme! I am making all of the invitations. We will have family and friends invited.

OK, I was just talking to a friend and I think she sold me on having the kids' party at MyGym. She said her daughter's 1st birthday party was there and it was easy and fun; they set up activity stations (like the classes, if you've ever been to one) and all the parents have to do is bring cake if desired. Kira and I go to weekly classes at MyGym on Fridays; I'm going to chat with them this week and get more details.
