WE got some bad storms last night. I mean bad! My basement is full of water, about 4 inches. I'm luckier than most around here. Here is a picture a man from the next town over took. This is the Spoon River, south of Toulon, IL. It always floods in this low area, but I've never seen it this bad ever.

Oh my goodness that's terrible. Has it quit raining now? Hopefully you don't get anymore in your house. Stay safe.

Here's another picture of Williamsfield, IL. You can see how high the water is. The train bridge has a clearance of 13 feet 3 inches. There's probably a good 9-10 feet here.

yeah the rain has slowed down a lot. Thank goodness. You can't find a sump pump to buy anywhere! My good friend sent her hubby for one this morning, and Home Depot said there's been a line since 4 am and they are out!

Oh, and this pic is not a river or stream...it's IL 180. The main highway through town. The bridge is a train bridge over the road!

I think the rain is done, now it's just windy. And the house we are buying had the entire finished basement under 2 inches of water. i'm not happy.
