I hope everybody had wonderful mother's day. Tell us how your day went. Did DH/SO and baby do anything special for you?
My DH got up at 6:00 with Jacob and let me sleep in until 8:00 which was heaven on earth. Especially since on Saturday Jacob decided that he wanted to get up at 4:30. I was really tired Sunday morning. I woke up to a beautiful arrangement of flowers and a very sweet card. DH also got Jackson to say Happy Mother's Day to me when I walked out of the bedroom. Of course I still had to make my own breakfast, since DH is not that great in the kitchen. I guess if I had wanted a bowl of cereal DH could have done that for me..lol.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy
Mine was great! Ryan did not get up with Rylynn lol, but I didn't expect that he would. She was up at 5 am but she was back to bed by 6:30 and we both slept until almost 9! That was wonderful! Then Ryan said he had to go get dog food, which was absolutely true, they were completely out. Starving the dogs lol. He came back, fed the dogs, and then presented me with a beautiful rose bush from him and Rylynn. He says "I know you wanted to bury some flowers, I think this is the kind you bury", meaning ones that are actually planted in the ground, not a pot. Bury. Haha. He also gave me a sweet, funny card that promises he will clean house for me lol, and a giant pink beach towel, which I've been wanting to keep on our boat. I'm so spoiled Then we went over to his parent's house and stuffed our faces with morel mushrooms. Yuuuummm!
Mother's Day was great here, too. Hubby made us bacon and eggs and gave me a nice card.
We were supposed to go to a friend's house but their kid got sick, so we had two other friends come over instead. We're all big hockey fans so we put on the Islanders/Penguins playoff game and just hung out and talked. Hubby made lunch for everyone and then, later once our friends left, he helped with Kira's bath and putting her to bed.
We celebrated on Saturday. It started with all of us going out to breakfast. Then James and Allison went to Lowes for their Build and Grow clinic (kids craft activity) while JR and I went shopping for a baby shower gift for a friend, adoption day gift for another family friend, and a first birthday gift for a dear friend. Then, JR and I went to hang out with my dad and did the grocery shopping. Finally, I dropped JR off at home with James and Allison and I went to my friend's baby shower, kid free! It was a great day!
We had a great day! We went to brunch with my family and then just hung out! Hubby got me a really sweet card from Jackson that made my cry!! Jackson's birthday party was on Saturday so it was really nice to just relax on Mother's Day!
