Are you letting your baby watch any TV? Do you put in educational DVD's or let them just watch cartoons?

My best friend is anal about not letting kids watch tv, she says it will rot their brain and tells me how bad it is, but sometimes I just need a few minutes so I will usually put in a Leap Frog DVD or something else educational and let the kids watch tv. I try not to let them watch too much but sometimes I just need a minute. Jacob doesn't really pay that much attention to the tv yet but if he is anything like his big brother one day he will love it.

I don't put TV on specifically for Kira to watch, but I'll put something on for me in the background while we're playing in the TV room sometimes. I don't have any moral objections to putting TV on for a kid for a few minutes.

Chase watches TV in the mornings (usually Disney Jr. or a part of his favorite movie at the moment) for about 30 minutes while I get ready. Cole is too busy to watch it lol, but I have noticed that he likes the beginning (song part) to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He usually will stop what he's doing and start dancing

We believe in moderation here (TV, junk food, etc). I don't want to keep my kids from these things, or completely over-indulge either, but I want them to learn that little bits of these things are ok. It works well for us.
