When do you plan on trying to potty train your baby? I noticed that some of the girls on facebook were already trying and just wondered what everybody else was doing?

I didn't start trying to potty train Jackson until he was 2 and even then he wasn't really ready. I started really trying around 2 1/2 when he seemed more ready and he was potty trained by the age of 3 which was right around the time Jacob was born so thankfully I didn't have 2 in diapers at the same time. I'm guessing that I will start with Jacob around 2.

Not even attempting until she is at least 2. 13 months is a little early to expect much, IMO. I'm sure it's happened, but it seems to me like it's setting a kid up for failure.

I put JR on his potty every night before his bath, some nights he goes, other nights he doesn't. I'm not trying to potty train him, just have him comfortable with the potty (and hopefully avoid him being afraid of it ). Once he is more verbal and can tell me he has to go, I'll work on potty training. Allison potty trained at 2, just after JR was born but each kid is different!

We do the same thing with Jackson every night. It's not an attempt to potty train just to familiarize him with the potty so he isn't nervous or afraid of it later on.

We'll start around 2, like we did with Chase. Chase was potty trained by 2.5. We didn't use any special method, but he was going to preschool and it seemed to help a lot that "all the other kids were doing it" lol. At school they had many potty breaks and his teachers were so loving and patient

It will be interesting to see how Cole does when he starts. Obviously if he shows signs of being ready earlier than 2 we'll give it a try, but I doubt that will happen.

Kellye preschool helped greatly with Jackson also. I swear they are the main ones that potty trained Jackson because they were with him all day. They were amazing. made training him alot easier.
