Has your little one starting throwing temper tantrums? What do you do when they throw one?

Jacob hasn't really started throwing tantrums yet. He will get mad at me and scream for just a second but then I guess he just forgets about it because he just goes about his merry way. this morning he did get mad at me because I had to get him dressed so I picked him up and he had to quit playing with his toys. he immediately threw his toys down and screamed. he was not happy with me. this morning I just told him no we don't do that but I'm not sure if he understood or not.

He did bite a kid at daycare the other day and they put him in timeout but again they said he didn't really understand yet that biting was bad. Another kid bites all the time at daycare and Jacob has been bitten several times so I guess he was finally fed up and just bit the other kid.

Kira doesn't really have full on tantrums yet but she definitely gets mad and flops down onto the ground. It cracks me up because she gets so pissed but very gently lowers herself down so that she doesn't bop her head too hard while she's being a flopsy fish.

I'm probably a really bad parent because I read your biting story and thought "go Jacob! You bite that kid back!"

LOL Carolyn. I thought that at first. I was getting irritated at him getting bitten so many times and I guess he was just fed up. Although I do hate that he has now learned how to bit.

Oh yes. Rylynn is soooo dramatic. She will cover her face with her hands and scream, then find the nearest surface to throw herself onto. She gets over it, and goes on her way. The thing I don't like, is she hits. She hits me, she hits the dogs. And she has a really mad look on her face when she does it. I'm not sure how to handle that.
