I'm in desperate need of some breakfast ideas .. or else all I'm going to eat this entire pregnancy is an egg and toast or pancakes. lol HELP!! I can rock some lunch and dinner ideas but breakfast .. I suck at breakfast And I'm not a huge cereal in the morning type of person, though I do love it as a snack
ETA: I generally don't eat breakfast when I'm not pregnant, or if I do it's just grabbing something non-breakfasty to munch until I'm ready to do lunch.
I was doing cereal but I recently started having a Breakfast Lean Pocket. It's more protein and less sugar so I figured that was better.
What about yogurt and granola? Oatmeal?
I never really have time to cook breakfast so I just have to grab something quick before I leave for work. I used to make this breakfast casserole with a dozen eggs, some cheese, a package of frozen broccoli, a can of tomatoes and green chilis, whatever meat you like (sausage, bacon, etc.) and a package of cooked couscous. I like to season mine with salt, pepper, cumin and chili powder. Mix it all together and bake until a toothpick comes out clean (I think it was about 30 minutes). Then I would cut it into individual servings that I could just heat up before work. I've been meaning to make that again.

mmm Kelly that sounds so good! I'll have to try that!! And I love oatmeal! I just never seen to have any lol we go through it so fast and I forget to buy it again, I'll have to keep a constant reminder around or something! Yogurt and Granola are also good but they're kind of like "snacky" to me so I don't know how eating it for breakfast would do .. I would probably be starving half an hour after eating it lol
Yum Nia I love omelets, see, my brain is just mush these days - I can make omelets! I just can't ever think of anything to make so I just eat the same thing everyday lol
I love oatmeal in many different forms! You should try this Cinnamon Bun Roll oatmeal recipe. French toast, bagels, scrambled eggs, omelets with veggies, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos (scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage or no meat, cheese, sometimes hashbrowns rolled in a tortilla) - great to make for the week then just warm up. yogurt granola and fruit,
There's a few breakfast recipes I've been wanting to make so maybe you can tell me what you think of them.
I like cooked milled with dates and slivered almonds. I also like cooked rice for breakfast. It's really good with milk, raisins, walnuts, and a fruit a peach or banana cut up into it.
I slice up two mushrooms in a bowl, toss in a handful of kale or spinach, then crack two eggs over it, add some seasoning, stir, then put in microwave for 1 min. Stir again then cook or 1 more minute. Comes out like a veggie-egg souffle. yum!
