Poor little boy is running a horrid fever! Woke up this morning at 5:00 with a temp of 102.9 F. Gave him some baby Ibuprofen and by 8:00 temp seemed to have broken and was back down to 99.7 F and he was eating and playing and seemed pretty well back to normal. By noon was back up to 102 so gave him some Tylenol and got him down for a nap. Woke up about 4:00 and by 5:00 temp was back up to 104! Called the hospital to make sure it was okay to keep him home and they said to just keep alternating Ibuprofen and Tylenol every 2 hours and sponge him down until it breaks. Gave him Ibuprofen at 5:00 and he is starting to act a little better now. I hope the fever breaks soon! I HATE seeing babies so miserable!! What makes the situation even worse is this darn storm!! They are calling for 6 more inches in our area tonight with 60 mph gusts. That's on top of the 4-5 inches sitting on the ground. Jason has the big tractor with the blade plugged in so it will start in case we need to get him to the emergency room tonight. Really really hoping that doesn't happen though!

His fever finally broke yesterday!! Talking to some ladies in the area with kids in preschool with Kendra, they said there is a "head flu" going around where kids get a high fever and sinus stuff. It's possible Jason and I had it too as it sounds like adults could get it without the fever. I am sooooo happy to have my happy, self entertaining toddler back!!

I'm glad he's feeling better & the fever is down. It's so hard at this age, when they can't tell us what is wrong.
