My 10th baby is 3 years old today. She was born in the middle of the night, after just 1.5 hours of labor. I went from "hmmm, could this be it?" to giving her a name in less than 2 hours. (granted those were two super intense hours!) She was born "in the caul" meaning the amniotic sac remained intact until she was land side. It was pretty cool.

She asked for a 'strawberry cake' pink punch, and for daddy to grill. (punch in our antique crystal punch bowl is a birthday tradition in our house.) Her brothers and sisters will dote on her all day I'm sure. It doesn't seem possible that she is no longer a baby.

Wow have all your labors been that short? Did dh even have time to get everything all ready? (I feel like you said you do unassisted homebirths, so I'm assuming it is dh's job...or was he even there? I suppose with only 90 minutes of labor you might miss it )
