I know it doesn't really matter, babies will come when they are good and ready, but question...How many of you that measured ahead at your 20 week ultrasounds actually had their doctor change your due date? Just curious...mine won't actually change mine, even though she measured a week ahead. I had Collin 4 weeks early, so I was already planning a bit earlier for this one!

Wow! They changed my due date at my first u/s (8 weeks), because the baby was measuring a week or so behind. It was May 31st, but my doc switched it to June 3rd. At my big u/s, the baby was measuring for June 3rd, so it sounds like she picked a good day!

Our baby girl was measuring about 5 days ahead, but they said they would not change it. Deep down, I hope I at least go a few days early, but we'll see!

Well, he nurse looked at the wheel wrong at my first appt and wrote down the wrong date (6/22 instead of 6/20) and they refuse to change it! According to my 18 week u/s, baby would be due 6/15, but they left it at 6/22 on my chart. I still say it's 6/20. My water broke 11 days early with both of the boys, so we'll see with this one.

Our baby girl is measuring a week ahead too, putting me due June 15th instead of the 22nd.

Dr changed mine after the NT scan because baby was measuring 6 days ahead.
She said that whenever measures 5+ days she changes the date, which puts me to Jun 22nd.
My son was born 10 days before my EDD but he always measured a week ahead, though they never changed the date.

I was also told that they will not change it at this point - mine was also measuring over a week ahead at the anatomy scan.
I have mixed feelings about the issue. On the one hand I wonder of making the due sates earlier will contribute to unnecessary inductions (resulting in more C-sections). On the other hand, I know that both of my girls measured ahead at ultrasounds and both came 2 weeks early and were big babies - so maybe some babies just grow at different rates....

My doctor is one of those doctors who refuse to move a due date due to u/s measurements. My first 2 u/s measurements were measuring a few days behind, but I knew when I ovulated. Now I am measuring quite a few days ahead than my EDD. She told me that you cannot accurately determiine a due date based on u/s alone because each baby grows different in the womb, and just because one is measuring big does not mean that it will be at term ahead of schedule.
I'm not a doctor so I really have no preference either way. I just find it easier to keep my original due date than to keep changing it. Lol. It would be nice though to be due a little sooner rather than later.

My DD measured ahead.. I can't remember how far ahead at the 20 week scan (which was at around 19w) but I know she measured quite a bit ahead. My due date was never changed and she was born 10 days before the due date at 8lbs 14oz. But I know when she was conceived (only takes once!) so she was just big for gestation.
This baby is measuring on-schedule thankfully.

my baby was measured to be due right around my estimated due date so there aren't any changes. DD was over two weeks late so I'm not putting much focus on the actual date just that this baby is due early to mid June.

DD measured small at 33 weeks so they diagnosed her with iUGR but she came right after that so they never had a chance to change her DD. With this one he is measuring right on track, even though I thought based on O my due date would have been a week earlier... doesn't matter much.. I'll have him a week before my due date.

So far she's measuring pretty close to on schedule... I think at the last u/s she was measuring 2 days ahead. The Dr won't change my EDD, but I have to say, I would be happy if she decided to come a few days early. I went to 41 weeks with Rylan and that last week was just torture!!

I'll find out on Thursday how far ahead she's actually measuring, but the U/S tech said (at 18 wks 5 days) that she was "big" and was I sure that my dates were right...the doctor policy around here though is not to change the due date after 12 weeks unless it's a huge difference (and mostly if baby is small so they don't induce early because they tend to be induction-happy)

My doctor doesn't go by measurements either. She just says it'll be the end of june. Thanks doc. I ovulated later than a typical cycle so I think I was measuring a little behind at first but i won't be surprised if I'm ahead now i already feel my uterus past my belly button!

My doc won't change the due date unless the measurements are way off (I was measuring 5 days ahead at my anatomy scan). He said 20 week u/s aren't as reliable for dating 1) because babies grow at different rates and 2) u/s can be off +/- a week or so.
I'm hoping since this is #3 and I've always started to dilate beginning around week 36 or so (walked around for nearly 3 weeks dilated to a 4 before DS#1 decided to come), that she'll come sooner rather than later.

My last u/s put me around May 29th. But they left the June 2nd DD and I know when I ovulated so I am keeping it at June 2nd also. If he comes a tiny bit early I will be pleasantly surprised =)
