I'm pretty sure my nose is going to be more red than Rudolph's for quite some time. I have NO idea what the heck is blooming around here right now, but my allergies are controlling my WHOLE FACE! My eyes are itchy and watery, my nose has been participating in a triathlon, my jaw hinges are sore from mouth breathing, my cough is so deep in my chest and violent that it feels like I'm about to throw my back out every time I cough and my sneezes are so loud and hard that I wet myself every time I sneeze (I'm now just wearing a pad)

So if this is all but honestly I am miserable and my belly hurts from sneezing and coughing so much! I've NEVER had allergies like this, and I know it's just bc I'm prego, and I don't take medicines or pills of any sort, but I'm **** near taking something for these allergies, bc NOTHING is getting done around the house, and this little 16 month old has as much energy as a H-bomb!

HELP?!?!? Anyone know what I can take??

(on a SUPER happy note: I can finally feel baby!! IDK if it's a boy or girl yet **crossing fingers it's a girl!** but I love feeling it push and move around now!! )

You can eat a little honey every day and that should help, but it has to be locally made. That's what I do when my allergies get bad. I've never taken any meds for it, so dont' know what you can or can't take during pregnancy.

Yes, try honey, try the buckwheat honey - this is what our doc suggested for DD when she had a bad cold and she is too young to take anything. It will help with the coughing! I would call your doc and ask what you can and can't take, because docs vary on that...I hope you feel better!

Hey, You can take Benadryl . I took it with both my pregnancies. It is safe for you and baby. I also have a prescription for allergy meds too. But benadryl will give you some help. Just take the recommended dose on the box !!! Hope you feel better!

I was told I could take Claritin for allergies. It should help with your eyes and nose. You can take the regular Tylenold cold for coughs, but NOT the multisymptom kind. It has something in it you aren't supposed to take. If you want something OTC, you can ask the pharmacist what you can or can't take. He'll be able to tell you.

Feel better soon! I had some awful allergy problems recently! When that happens to me, it often turns into a sinus infection. I took Claritin for a few days along with Sudafed when needed (I was told I could take it, but then saw it was a Category C med on the internet, so I only used the minimum dose and only as long as I thought I absolutely needed it). I was so happy because it ended up being one of my shortest allergy attacks ever.

I had a bad cold a few weeks back and took Zyrtec for the runny nose/sneezing. Worked great! Its a 24 hour pill so that was even better. Feel better soon!!
